Dr. Maycon is a full-time associate, coming from Alliance Community Medical Foundation in Alliance, OH, and Mercy Medical Center in Canton, OH. He completed his medical residency at North Shore University Hospital – Cornell University Medical College/Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, and went on to complete his Gastroenterology Fellowship at Georgetown University Medical Center.

During his residency, Dr. Maycon earned multiple awards, including the National Institutes of Health Research Award for Clinical Trainees and the George M. Jaffin Scholarly Award.

Dr. Maycon also served as the committee vice president for the Healthcare Underwriters Group (HUG) for Mutual of Ohio from 2006-2007, and is an active member of numerous professional societies, some of which include the Ohio State Medical Association, the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the American Gastroenterological Association.
